About
Have Fun. Work hard. Treat people with kindness and respect. Above all, make KICK-ASS artwork! This is how I approach life and career.
It is my strongly held belief that a successful creative director finds unique and engaging ways to bring great ideas to life, and they do it while staying within the budget, adhering to the schedule, and by always keeping the target demographic in sight.
For over twenty five years I have worked in the entertainment industry on Film, TV, Commercials and Video Game projects. During this time I have held the positions of 3D artist, Visual Effects Supervisor, Head of a CG Department, and Creative Director for a global animation and VFX studio. Even though I believe in the power of rolling up your sleeves and working hard, I believe it’s my ability to creatively and effectively lead teams that has propelled me to where I am today.
I love and prefer in-person collaboration, but in today’s hybrid workplace it is paramount to be able to effectively coordinate teams in different time zones. In my present position I have had to simultaneously coordinate and lead teams in the US, India, Poland, Portugal, Canada, and Manila. Many times English is not a team member’s first language, this is why a single picture can be worth a thousand words. I pride myself on being able to dive into just about any creative software package. From sculpting and animating in Maya, Zbrush and UE5, to image creation in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or by utilizing AI, I have the ability to quickly communicate in an effective manner.
I thrive in a fast-paced environment, and I don’t shy away from hard work and a challenge. I love being on the cutting edge of technology, and with the latest developments in AR, VR, and AI, we are all in for a wild ride. But, regardless of where technology is taking us, I believe that any team can be successful with good communication, proper support, and a clear vision.
